It's way too late to tell you all you need to know. Do a good backup of all your data, put the backup on something that won't be easily lost (like put it on a CD). After 1/1/2000, if you have electricity and web access, come back and we'll talk some more.

Shama:

I somehow think that you are kidding. If not how much trouble you are in depends on the version of Win 95, the model of your PC and the version numbers of all of your applications. The advice from bw is probably sound, if you can still get on the net after turnover.

Best wishes,,,

Its not too late but don't wait any longer. It can take more than a day to get everything set.

The best thing to do is go to www.cnet.com and search on Y2K. They have an excellent step-by-step method to go through and find out if your bios is ok, your operating system (probably Windows) is ok and your software. Expect to download some test programs and then some patches for your software. My Office 97 took two separate patches that were better than an hour to download and install.

Good luck!

I'm just letting mine run over. If it goes down, so what? I don't use it for business, I lived many years without one. But I will miss getting all those cute URLs from my daughter and those raunchy ones fom my Net pals.

Hey lars, I am letting mine just rollover too! I don't need to do anything to it if it is not used for business reasons anyway do i?
