In Vancouver, our City Manager has stated repeatedly that he will authorize a hike in taxes on entertainment (movies) etc. Can he do this in light of the facts about 695?

Well,He TRIED. By a vote of 4 to 2, (one member absent) the motion to tack on the 5% tax to movie admissions was defeated. (Moeller and "I won't let 695 color my thinking" Harris voting "yes.")
