*TEST*

The following item showed up recently by email. Suppose it had been posted to the GICC forum. As specifically as possible, what would we expect to happen next?

Odd thing today when I tried to fill up the gas tank in Northern Va .... couldn't find an Exxon, Shell or Mobil OPEN ... all said they were closed until Monday! Amoco and off-brands were open though, but a lot of motorists were mad and paniced! One gal couldn't believe it .... she was almost out of gas .... and said, wish they had told us beforehand! I couldn't remember ever seeing the gas stations closed for that long during Christmas holidays, given all the travel that takes place. Wonder if it was just percautions over the possibility of embedded chips faultering today, the week before the rollover as Sally had suggested was a possibility.

Good test case. I think this had more to do with Christmas falling on a Saturday but how do we confirm? Calls to some gas stations. Call others in the area? Check with the AAA and API?

Check the gas station corporations web-sites for policy postings?
