OT: Ya Gotta Love this Forum!

Woke up with some asthma stuff and logged on. Where else would one see three posts in a row that discussed corrupted data, what kind of fish to stock a pond with, and an announcement of a new essay from Ed Yourdon. All that and I had the good fortune to sleep through the latest tirades from Lady Logic!!

If you are struggling to keep a little humor in life, step back, look at the list and have a good laugh!

Just remember the words of wisdom from Ben Franklin: "If we do not hang together, we will most assuredly hang separately." Five more days to go...

Nancy, if the King of Spain does not ask you to mudwrestle, I shall give away the supply of dried mud I have been making for him in my Ronco dehydrator.

It's like a big family reunion, where you wander from conversation to conversation, amused and moved at the breadth and depth, the silliness and the caring. This forum has been my sanity-touchstone throughout the whole ordeal. My sincere gratitude to all, visible and not, who have participated in this amazing forum--with a special nod of appreciation to Ed, and to our moderators. The voices here have educated, surprised, stunned, stimulated, informed, provoked, maddened, soothed, inspired, enraged, comforted, sickened, stretched, lifted, and challeneged me. May your paths be smooth and touched with grace in all the days ahead. I salute you, one and all.

Faith: Beautiful words. Thanks. My mother's people were "Weavers". Hope I am related to you.

Nancy: Do you like to mudwrestle?

O.G.: Be sure and add oxygen absorber packs. Nothing worse than wrestling in reconstituted mud that doesn't feel dirty.

-- King of Spain (madrid@aol.cum), December 26, 1999.

No problem, Your Majesty, oxy absorbers were added and the whole sealed in mylar in 5-gallon buckets. I have also stored Evian so as to be able to rehydrate the mud with a French accent.
