greenspun.com : LUSENET : Squishy : One Thread

Here's a place for you to share the tidings of the season with other "Squishites" (TM Lee).

If you'd like to tell a particular holiday story, a warm joke, or just give a shout out here's the place to do it.

Happy holidays, everyone.

Seasons Greetings, all! May happiness, health, and all things good follow you into the New Year, too.

Let's also hope that I get over this bronchial/phlegm/coughing thing soon.

Oh yeah, and let's also think good thoughts about the little preteen girl who was sitting behind me in church last night. She will probably be emotionally scarred for life because she let one rip (loudly) during a "silent moment" in the service - when the lighting of the candles for the disciples was taking place.

Take care of yourselves!

Oh Man, I have no idea where I said that but if I had any idea it was going to be immortalized I would have put some thought into it. So many variations are possible. Squishinites, Squishathians, Squishicons, Squishans, Squishareans, Squisheslavacians, Squished, Squaushed, okay...you get the idea. Oh well, so is life.

Merry Christmas to all you Squishites. In all seriousness I must say that not only does Pamie rock, y'all make my day as well with all your inventive, clever posts. I am grateful that even as we all come and go about our lives we have this little place to come back to and just be silly, serious, or in my case, just plain stupid. I am truly thankful. I hope Y'all are too. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

Oh yeah, whoever sent me that e-mail that told me to dump elf bowling because it would erase my hard drive on Christmas morning? PPHHHHFFFFFTTTTTTT!!!!

Wow, a little lonely here, but I'm sure it'll pick up tomorrow when we're all done egg-nogging...

Thursday night I was involved in a car accident -- I got rear ended while I was at a dead stop getting off the exit on the highway. My car is totalled. I was hit from behind causing me to hit the car in front of me. My beloved old Honda Civic is no more.

The guy who caused the accident (who was in an SUV with the license plate "MY TAHO") came out to see if we were okay, then got back in his car and took off.

Needless to say, I was supremely pissed off -- little did the guy know I have access to AutoTrak at work and looked up his license plate the next day

It hit me Christmas Eve what had happened. That it could have been a lot worse (my sister was with me and except for some soreness and neck stiffness, we're both okay). That I couldn't believe someone would leave the scene like that, taking absolutely no responsibility for what happened

But the concern and care (and even anger) that my friends and family have displayed has more than made up for the incident. I feel really lucky to be okay and to have people around me who are looking out for me. So Merry Christmas and Happy New Year -- I hope "MY TAHO" has a lovely holiday before he is locked away.

O.

How about Squishists? It makes it sound like we have our own religion. Of course, we'll still celebrate Christmas, but Santa will only use Amazon wish lists and will send flames or viruses instead of coal.

Anyway, just wanted to say a belated Merry Christmas and to wish everyone a very happy New Year. And Omar, let me know if I should get the Fruits of Squishy ready for a jihad against MY TAHO's sorry yuppy ass.

Happy Holidays Pamie!

Thank you for all the times you made me laugh, and the few you made me cry.

I hope the holidays and the new year bring you and Eric everything you could ever want. You have a heart of gold. You deserve it.

Your devoted fan,

I've been lurking around here for a few months and want to say Hello and Happy Holidays to Pamie and all you Squishites. Thanks for all the laughs. P.S. to Omar: Man, Car accidents are so scary. I'm glad you're ok.
