I'm interested in a Kodak DC265. I currently have the original Power Mac G3 computer and am wondering if the DC265 will work with that computer as is, or is there something extra I would need to buy?

The USB connection works fine. Kodak has a utility available on their web site (www.kodak.com) which is a plug in for Adobe Photo Deluxe.

You have to read the faq's on their site to figure out how to do a batch download from the camera with the utility, otherwise it is a one at a time tedious process.

After downloading the photos, I use Photoflash which came bundled with Apple's QuickTake 150 to batch process the photos, including resizing them & converting them to pic format.

Photoflash is scriptable, so I just recorded an applescript for the batch processing.

You may need the latest USB driver from Apple's web site. It was posted in early December & it is what I am using. Hope this helps.
