Reduce all the salary of all political offices to a level where they must ALL have a part time job to survive and do away with all pensions for politicians.

This way they would be forced to exist in the private sector so they would also be forced to leave the private sector in a finiancial situation where THEY would be able to live comfortably themselves instead of being insulated from reality by the cash cow of government service
