Plain white tractor trailers in convoy

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Anybody seeing convoys of white tractor trailers with no markings? Not one identifying thing...not even on the mud flaps. Trucks being driven by two man crews. As many as a dozen rigs in one convoy.

Ooooooohhhh! Trucks on a highway. Sounds ominous.

It will sound *really* ominous in about six months. "Where did they get the fuel?" we will ask.

you my friend should say what you mean, and stop alluding.

"Not one identifying thing"

No license plates, then?

Were the trucks spraying anything?

Dihydrogen monoxide??

I can see that we aren't going to get anything serrious going on this...so forget it. Oh, BTW, they were pulling into a military base. I'll put my tinfoill hat back on and go back into the weeds.

Russ:

ROTFLMAO. This forum has it's 'days'. You picked a bad one. LOL

Russ:

You could save yourself some grief by posting the rest of the information if you have it. Here's a start:

1. When (date/time), where (part of the country, direction), how many (how many convoys? how many total?) 2. Were the drivers wearing uniforms? Did any of them appear to be foreign? 3. What kind of trailers? Reefers (refrigerated)? 4. Any support vehicles with them?

And anything else you may have noticed. The point is - you give the appearance of baiting and trolling with a little info - and so you invite responses like the ones above. If you have more information - let's hear it. Otherwise, most will assume you're trying to mislead or inciting reactions.

If you are interested in tracking these sightings down, there are some truckers forums on the net. They would be the guys to ask, as they spend so much time on the road.

Please route me to the truckers' forums.

Hmmmmmmmm. Well here's some first hand info for you to rip at. I drove for USA Truck, over the road, for most of the summer. USA utilizes the air force emblem on its trucks and trailers as its trademark emblem in conjunction with the letters USA TRUCK. Insert an F and you have ..... USAF Truck. Ok, got you rolling in the floor now. USA Trucks are painted white, and their two main distribution terminals are located in Dayton Ohio and Shreveport Louisiana. Dayton is home to Wright Air Force Base, and Shreveport-Bossier is the home of Barksdale AFB. Two other Terminals are located at Ft. Smith Arkansas, and West Memphis ARkansas, which give them refueling range and mechanical support to reach anywhere in the continental United States. Is USA Truck in fact a front company for a CIA-Mil. operation? Hint, they haul tons of uninspected loads out of Laredo Tx.. which originate in Mexico.

There were no license plates.

Two incidences. First: Going into a military base on Friday, 10 Dec.

Second: Southbound in KY on 21 Dec.

I saw a blue skateboard and a yellow bicycle today! Two in one day! Can't just be a coincidence..........isn't that one of the signs of the end times........it is clear that TEOTWAWKI is nigh.....ONly 8 more days and those that scoff at the colored modes of transport will be seeing red........hehehehehehehehehehehehehheheh.......

craig,

Sorry you got hurt in past by bad interpretation on end time events....but I sure would hate to have to face God with your attitude at the present!

Craig, you've been a busy bad boy on the board again today!

(*Wavin' to Craig*)

Tell me, hon, WWJD?

Craig:

You say you saw a bike? How could you when it is obvious that you haven't opened your eyes since birth. By the by do you get straight pay, hourly or by the word. Just curious how the .gov is paying their hired hacks these days.

Craig,

I never thought of it that way. Yes I think I know what you mean. Hmmmmmmmmmm.
