Who cares what a baseball player says. He's just a baseball player. Society has elevated idiots to Gods in the name of celebrity. Days to one of the most significant events in history and John Rocker is news?

I don't necessarily agree with the guy, but isn't it refreshing to hear someone not afraid to speak what's on their mind; and in the national press to boot? I get so tired of hearing the antiseptic and woefully bland rhetoric that passes for speech from those who are afraid of offending anyone.
