December 22, 1999
BY DAVE HOEKSTRA STAFF REPORTER (Chicago Sun-Times)

.....(a snippet from the middle of the article:)

"At least one high rise, Lake Point Tower at 505 N. Lake Shore Dr., is suggesting that its residents stockpile. The building's managers recently issued a four-page memo of recommendations, including that residents stockpile up to five months' worth of food supplies."

Did he just say "up to five months?"

does that include five months of WATER? or HEAT?

Of course not. Everyone knows that food stores the longest when it's kept cold, dark, and dry.

Those kitchens couldn't hold 5 days worth of food. They have a lovely view though. ;-)

yes but think how much space there is in the living room for all those cartons!!!!

Shudder. I wonder how recent that recommendation was. Five months? They'll be lucky to get an extra five DAYS before rollover.

Is anyone getting sick of reading "blah blah fully confident blah blah BUT..."? Couldn't they just skip all the BS before the "but" and save some column inches?
