Does anyone know how the US Relay Champs voting is going?

The BOD has voted 10-7 in favor of awarding the Relays to NEOC. So get out your compasses and start sharpening the edges until they're like razors!

Wow -- this is definitely big news. It is time to start serious discussions about preparation and the "game plan" for the relay champs.

Unfortunately with the timing of this event being April 15th and all....... I really don't want to piss off too many people, but I hope everyone in OK will understand when I tell them and this will have repercussions all over the orienteering world, I know the wrath I may feel as a result of this announcement, but feel I need to go ahead and do this... Dan Meenehan will not be attending.................

The North American Rogaine Champs

Please don't tell Al.

Where might one obtain a list of those who voted for and voted against NEOC's bid to host the relays? (Assuming one wishes to obtain such a list.) These are certainly things that the public has a right to know!

Wouldn't it serve the OK interest to know who is for us and who is against us?

I consider the BOD vote a referendum on OK rather than NEOC.

Here is the latest from JJ (who will be the vetter for the NEOC event). Yep, it passed 10-7. We'll have an individual day on Saturday, on a small but pretty intricate map, and the Relay Champs on Sunday, on a separate map adjacent to the first one. The mapping/setting crew is pretty enthusiastic about the venue.
