U.S. STATE DEPT. ISSUES NEW GLOBAL TRAVEL ADVISORY

The State Department has issued a new global travel advisory urging Americans who travel overseas to be "vigilant" and avoid large crowds. Large groups of people, assembled for religious festivals or to mark the millennium, may be especially at risk, the State Department said in a stepped-up caution to travelers issued Tuesday night. The department also said security at U.S. airports is being tightened.
