170 but am keeping 95% in reserve.

In High School I was told about 115. However, I am begining to suffer short-term memory loss.

Trolling deep today, aren't you?

Always dislike when this board is being (mis)used for social studies.

I'm smart enough to know that most IQ tests are crap & not to bother with them.

-- gee (thanks@for.asking), December 20, 1999.

I dunno.

Was tested as a kid but never told the results.

IQ is well and good, but take a look at the book _Emotional IQ_. Rather thought provoking. Even "smart" people do stupid things if they aren't emotionally mature.

High common sense IQ is likely to be more of advantage at this time IMHO.

Onliest number I can find is the one inside my shoe. It says "10". Dang, that makes me a friggin' whizz-bang ! (gloat, gloat)

----d----ciinc,

It's a miracle, you and Hawk have the same IQ. Hawk mentioned something about his IQ in a Mars Polar Lander discussion thread.

What are the odds of you and him having the same IQ?????

WOW!!

I judge my IQ by how well I have succeeded, not by a number. I am retired, not working, have a loving family, and am set for Y2K either way, if bad or good. I love and respect God first, family second, nation third. You judge my IQ. My highest grade finished in school was the eigth.

I do not in any way judge a person's IQ by a number, but by their succes in life. I have two nephew who are college graduates with "A" grades through out their college careers, who are now working at minimum wage jobs. I completed the eight grades in school. I am retired from two jobs, living fairly comfortable, have a loving family, and am ready for Y2K no matter which direction it takes. God is my savior, He comes first family second and county last. You judge my IQ.

170.

-- Hokie (nn@va.com), December 20, 1999.

Back in my high school days, I was told my IQ was 135. BTW, I'm leaning towards a BITR if you care to know.

Thanks for question.

Who creates IQ tests, and how can they be qualified to test anyone outside of their own bracket, higher OR lower? Think about that.

I've never seen an IQ test yet that measured pure reasoning ability instead of acquired knowledge. The only people who'll (honestly) tell you their tested IQ's are those who score in the 110 - 140 bracket.

The rest either score too low, or are too smart to boast about such a pointless indicator.

Jose, My short-term memory is shot, too. What was the question?

-- Mara (MaraWayne@aol.com), December 20, 1999.

Last tested 140, but that was before alcohol and drugs for 10 years. So with 15 years of re-building the gray matter,I'd say I'm back up to a 120 ( Well, I cut out the drugs, at least )
