NW "Fred Meyers" has cash restrictions

The Fred meyers at Totem Lake (Kirkland, wa) had a large sign next to the exit saying that from 12/26-1/7(?) they would be limiting the amount of cash available from debit transactions to $50.00.

I had to get cash from Fred Meyer a few months ago (from a checkout, not from ATM) and their normal limit is $50.

Same - Same here - new notices up at Auburn Freddies. Wonder if perhaps people are asking for more. Several people I know are pulling a few thou out of accounts by using ATM to the max on a daily basis and an extra $100 from a debit purchase would allow a larger take per day. Either that or ATM $$ goes into stash and debit purchase extra goes to daily operating expences allowing them to "save" all the ATM $$.

Yipes! If that's the normal every day limit, what the heck do they think they're doing putting up dated signs? Do they normally give out more than that if you ask nicely? Do they realise that by putting the thought that cash might be limited into Joe Sixpack's head, they might just trigger a demand?

There are normally no restrictions...the same machine can also take oregon trail cards..which is the same as food stamp allowances...and there is no restriction for cash back on the benefits card either.

buy a gallon of milk and cash out your food stamps bennies.

We like to shop at Freddy's but after the low low prices at Grocery Outlet it's hard to go into any other store! Next time we go to Freddy's we'll look for these signs.
