How can I get standard size prints

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

Hello!

I was wondering if someone could tell me how I can take my pictures taken by my olympus 600-L in SHQ to a standard size such as '4X6', '5X7' etc to print out to frame. The software I have been using allows me to resize but when I try to resize the picture it doesn't go to a standard size. When I take off the preserve ratio, I can size to any size but then the picture is out of proportion(person looks like he/she has been squeezed). I am sure there has to be a easy way to get the picture to a standard size. If someone could tell me what software they use and how I can do this easily, please let me know!

I am using a HP deskjet is that helps.

Thanks in advance! Ron

I struck the same problem. Now I use Adobe Photodeluxe V3, and it supplies "frames" that you put over your photo in the various standard sizes, and it then trims the photo to the frame size. Very easy!
