There are two small islands that will first experience Jan. 1, Kiritimati on the Christmas Islands, then Chatham Island outside of New Zealand 15 min. later. The first major location is New Zealand so that is where I started. CNN has announced that they will start covering the new year all over the world starting Dec. 31. They will be in New Zealand, no doubt about it. Maybe you would like to print this to have a hard copy. (M=midnight)
