How are you prepping for a dental filling coming apart?greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) Preparation Forum : One Thread |
Hi, all,Even if you're completely caught up with your dental work, you could have problems with fillings cracking or coming apart; even new fillings. How are you prepping for this?
Thanks,

I purchased a dental repair kit at my drugstore in the toothpaste section.

Got a kit from Wal-Mart, same section. All kinds of dental tools and repair items.

Besides a kit, clove oil is good for toothache, and anusol (sp?) is good for mild pain. In my opinion, colloidal Silver is a must for innumerable uses, including killing of harmful mouth bacteria when used as a rinse.

Leslie. Old Git:I really appreciate your quick responses. I'll go check it out.
Kenin:
Thanks for your help. I've heard some controversial things about colloidal silver, though, so I'm kind of nervous about getting into that.

You'll hear controversial things about *everything*.I had a couple of cat scratches that resisted *every* antibiotic ointment I put on them, OTC and prescription. I rubbed some CS into them, and a few days later they *finally* closed up.

for me, its simple:take good care of my friend who is a Dentist. (plus a copy of "Where There Is No Dentist")
Another family friend is a Neurosurgeon. She has her own stuff.

I think that this is one of those areas that a good part of your preps should be in the form of cash, gold/silver, and barter items. Knowledgable expertise will be out there, you will need to be prepared to be able to deliver an agreed upon payment for services rendered.

Ron, plonk!, Jack;Thanks for your input.
Jack;
Given my quite pessimistic outlook, I think that betting on barter opportunities would prove too risky.
