Time to Stop the madness/article to read

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Ok...we know the truth. Are we ready to take a stand? How long before we hit the 'Event Horizon' and it's too late? Our Great grandfathers, our fathers, our brothers and sons died for this country. We have a whole Gov gull of liars and madmen destroying our country. Treason is the rule and they won't stop until WE make it stop. Here is a article to consider....think hard people. I'm sending this to everyone I can get it to.

One Handgun

This is OT. This is a site designed to further Y2K awareness and preparedness, not for people to pursue their own agendas, which you appear to be doing.

PLEASE DELETE THIS THREAD.

Hey Nothing...I'll admit..it might be considered OT. My mistake for not putting an OT in the post....but depending on what people consider cause and factor of the problems expected after Y2K it has quite a bit to do with it...as much as any 'conspiracy' theory I've seen posted..including 'signs' on the roadways, cover-ups about Y2K and the idea that we might be headed into an 'Apocolypse' by design. So why don't you go stick your head back up your ass and leave it there?

This is absolutely ON TOPIC for Y2K survival. Only with firearms can a few -- maybe as few as one -- hold out against a mob (regardless of whether the mob is acting in an official government capacity or not).

Contrast this with Australia, where people who have prepared are now subject to confiscation laws should Y2K disruptions come to pass. This is what happens when the right to keep and bear arms is surrendered.

A wonderful essay. Highly recommended.

Early in the history of the United States, the 2nd Ammendment was provided to help ensure that Government in the US would not become "totalitarian". The 2nd Ammendment was really just a practical application of the Constitution, though. The Constitution itself was careful to *LIMIT* the power of the Government. Kings and dictators were recognized as "no fun at all".

For most of the 1900s, many have tried to "evolve" the Constitution into something more Socialist in nature (which requires a powerful Government to enforce wealth distribution). Many here fear that Y2K could be the "final straw". That is the direct connection to Y2K.

Personally, I feel we already are a Socialist nation, and it is too late. Personal experience suggests, though, never to say "It couldn't get any worse".

Best damn thing I"ve read here in a long time!!! Post it everywhere you can, while you can. OT or not OT . Our children and theirs may someday benefit from this info.

Santana....heartfelt thanks for such an inspiring and patriotic post. A Must Read! I hope this stirs up the hearts and minds of those who wish to keep this a free country.....or should I say, RESTORE it to a free country! Too many of our freedoms are already lost, and most people are totally unaware. Thanks to this forum, and articles like this!

Definitely on topic. An incredible read - also forwarding the link to anyone who'll listen. If/when TSHTF, as many people as possible need to be willing to stand up for themselves - this is an extremely helpful inspiration toward that.

They can force God out of our schools and the public image, but the one thing that they cannot cope with is the SPIRIT OF LIBERTY.

Thanks Santanta

Red letters on a gray page--poor graphics, not easy to read.

Thanks, made me cry.

We've been tryin of late to figure out what's unique about the GI's. I suppose that answers it for most of us.

Given we are in the last 2 weeks before rollover, it was nice to rally round why it is that we give a shit, and have struggled so hard and against such adversity to assure that our country will carry on.

Although I don't own a gun, it's my job to take it real personal when my God given rights as recorded by the forefathers are absent.

You all remember Paul Reveres 1775 ride announcing "The British are coming!"

Remember why the British were coming? To take the guns from the colonialists.

Well, nothing-better-to-do,

Looks like you were shouted down, and rightly so. I have nothing further to offer; previous posts have said it all.
