I wonder what this sign says?

(duplicate post below)

Traffic light is clearly working, but there are the traffic signs with garbage bags over them... caption says these are stop signs just installed, implying this traffic light in Troy MI is expected to fail.

I think someone should grab their instant camera and walk over and pull off the bag, snap a pic...and run like hell. Then post it for us. };-]

The city of Troy installed the (stop)signs at all major intersections in case of power failure Jan. 1

Got a giggle out of this news. I used to live in Troy, MI. I'm not surprised, a very anal city Troy is...which may very well be a good thing considering the possible outcomes.

For the last three months they had signs covered by garbage bags along a stretch of the Garden State Parkway. They just unvieled them last week. Know what they are? New signs telling people which lanes are for EZ-Pass and which lanes are for Tokens/Cash.

Tech 32, since you are maybe in the area, I just saw a sign I haven't noticed before coming just before getting on 287 south in Mahwah from the Thruway (though I don't take that exit often and usually use the Parkway) maybe it's always there). Something about out of state truckers use national band, black lettering on white. Any idea what that was?
