I am looking for information re: arrest statistics for DV the gender of the arrested person. I.E., how many men vs. women were arrested for DV in a given area.

I am also looking for statistics regarding women arrested for DV. I was arrested last January for DV. Of course, my story is a lengthy and twisted tale. I am looking for other women who have been arrested for DV. I would like to hear their stories. I am a 110 pound, 41 year old woman. I have never been in trouble with the law. My husband is a 59 year old bar-owner who is also an ex-marine. He is controlling, manipulative and psychologically abusive. He has been physically abusive in the past but has somehow managed to turn the tables. Through inappropiate sexual touching, psychological torment and public humiliation he was able to invoke my rage. I fell prey to his plan. I could not control my rage after a certain point. This is my fault, I know. However, I filed for divorce last June, prior to the DV incident. After 18 years I no longer love this man. For more info please e-mail me. The probation evaluation concluded that I was the victim in this case. I was fined twenty-five dollars. My husband claims to still love me and wants reconciliation. I just want out.

I have seen this happen before. You are not alone. Have you ever thought of filing for a protection order through the courts? He needs to get the picture that you don't want him back. It sounds to me like the courts were on your side given the situation. We all can only take so much before we start to fight back. That is just human nature. Hang in there! Your not alone. Find a local women's support group if you haven't already. They did me wonders!

I was arrested this last Feb. by my ex for DV. I am 150 lbs and he is 200 lbs. We both have anger problems and he hit me and I retaliated. But, the only one arrested was me.

I was arrested and charged with D.V., after I was assaulted by my ex-wife.She claimed that I hit her.She had no marks on her,I did. I WENT TO JAIL,I LOST MY JOB.What is wrong with this picture?
