So what.

It's not y2k yet. 2 weeks to go...

Repost this BS in six months time and we'll all bow to your superior intellect!

Hey Andy,

Why six months - I thought all the action would have taken place within the first 2 mos following the roll-over? Do you believe that it will take 6 mos for society to go down the tubes....

Hey Mystery Man - here's something humorous for you. In fact it's hilarius.

I found this gem on Gary's site, under Government: "What This Nation Needed Was a $40 million Center to Monitor the World on December 31. We Got It."

Isn't that funny?? But it gets Better. He quotes Cory Hamasaki, from an article in The Contrarian's View:

"The real question is, What is the Point of the 40,000,000.00 Expense? How will the monitors, displays, the commands Barked out at the Command Center help anyone?....

What do they think they're going to monitor? Explosions? Bank riots?

"Commandante! We're up to 17 bank runs now. Two have failed."

"Keep up the good work and put that on the Big Board." Cory Hamasaki

Isn't that just hilarius?? Sure puts things in perspective, when people like you mock the seriousness of Y2K. Cause this Bunker isn't a prediction. It's a FACT.

p.s.I read this on Gary's site on Dec 14, 1999 so it's about a day old. Don't mean to print old news. Hey, I Eat day old bread.

Hey nice post there Mystery Man. Not much in the way of content, though is there? Not like there was any before the Sysops removed your drivel from the post.

Paul many systems will create data that "appears" to be OK. That erroneous data will be further and further corrupted as the months go by... that's the theory anyway in a nutshel - think about the implications several months into y2k when you realise that your fortune 500 company is about to go down the s*****r...

Hi Mystery Man - I was trying to respond to your post, when my computer froze up. I had to turn it off, turn it back on, dial up and what to my wondering eyes should appear but a sign that the computer I am "dialing into is not answering. Try again later". So it has done this twice just now.(yeah, you guessed it, my husband and my fifteen year old son are the computer geeks. They both have sites and my son's gets about 20,000 visitors per month(and no it isn't porn), and he writes his own source code - but he isn't Me, and I'm certainly no computer expert. But like Gary North, I can read. So I'm stashing food for my son. Just in case...)

I was going to write a whole lot of stuff, but suffice it to say that I got to Gary North's site Extremely late in this game. We've prepped for almost ten months -thanks to Gary. And it's a good thing cause I just don't have the money the gov. has, and for Some Reason I have this strange habit of looking at what they DO. I mean they talk the talk(spin)but they don't walk the walk; I sure would hate for You to end up hurt because you listened to what they Said while failing to pick up on what they DID. But I'm rather simple; and for me Actions speak louder than words.

As for Gary North, all he does is put up posts With Links to the Original Sites. The JoAnne Effect stuff is totally Cory's, not Gary's. (but we personally know of a Pizza Hut that just bit the dust, and they were having Bad snafus. I would say that little business Died due to the JoAnne Effect. but no one wants to hear it. And the Happy Face News ain't gonna report it.)

But the only DATE that Really matters is the one comin' down in about two weeks.

Still waiting for the really funny part...you know...after the CDC, MDC, data rollover, whatever....

So, Andy, the erroneous data will, like, be further and further corrupted as the months go by, like, will it? Wow! So, like, how does this "data" (whatever it is, like) get further and further corrupted, then? Does, like, "01/01/00" turn into "01/01/1900" turn into "0a/px/qb74" turn into "../../...!" and, like, so on and so forth? Oh my Goooood!

Sorry, couldn't resist.

that's the theory anyway in a nutshel

Priceless.
