bright light and deep darkness

I have just finished buying 55 gallons of kerosene and almost have my 300 gallon gas tank (steel) filled so I am going to focus on something positive today, Isaiah 60, verse 1 - 3 is our y2k verse for the day.

ISA 60:1 "Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. (2) For behold, darkness will cover the earth, And deep darkness the peoples; But the Lord will rise upon you, And His glory will appear upon you. (3) "And nations will come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising."

Notice verse 2: "darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples." When the darkness gets darker, the light shines brighter. One certain thing for the year 2000 is that God's light will blase forth in full glory!

blessings to all

how beautiful. thanks. nice idea to remember as i light my aladdin lamps (being a big chicken in the darkness). interesting that one of the movements of prayer this year in some of the evangelical ministries has been this Lighthouse of Prayer Movement. maybe God intends for us to be lighthouses this year.

Jose: I have been quite stressed lately, prepped to the gills, but the countdown is really getting to me, so I opened up my Bible, and it opened up right to John 12:23.

(I think that is the right verse number--don't have it right in front of me.)

"Those who love their life will lose it. Those that hate the things of this world will have eternal life."

The words of Jesus. Gave me pause. Made me go hmmmmmmmmmm..........

I am praying constantly for guidance, for peace, for discipline, for help.
