LM,Funny you should mention bear fat. Here in Bermuda,shark oil in a sealed bottle has been used for the past 3 1/2 centuries by locals as a 'barometer' for hurricanes & stormy weather. Extremely accurate as it clouds up the water,but has nothing to do with "reading like tea leaves".
