Focomat 1C Information

greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo: Creativity, Etc. : One Thread

I am interested in establishing a value for a Focomat 1C that I own and wish to sell. Can anyone offer any suggestions as to where I can obtain this sort of information? Thanks.

There's a nice Focomat in a local photo store for $200, but alas, I don't know the specific model.

Richard, It would depend on the shape the enlarger is in, does it still have the original easel (I have 10 of these enlargers and have never seen an easel for one!), does it have the tall or short column, are all the springs still attached, does it have a carrier and anti- newton glass and what lens is included with the enlarger. The least expensive 1C we ever purchased was $50.00 USD, and the most expensive was one for which we traded a much hated Leitz V35. I would expect to pay around $200.00 - 250.00 for a 1C in reasonable condition.
