Need Info for a Research Paper

greenspun.com : LUSENET : The Work of Edgar Allan Poe : One Thread

To all who may read this, I need info on Poe's poem the Raven on how it relates to Romanticism. If you have any substancial information (e.g. information from the experts or otherwise can be backed up), please send it to me ASAP to my e-mail address or if you prefer, to this forum. Also, if at all possible, could you give me the parenthetical documentation of where you got from (in MLA format please)? Your help would be most appreciated.

I beleive that the reason it relates to romantisism is that the emotions in the poem are very strong. For example his feelings about Lenor. It is almost erie.

Hey, romanticism is really about the ideas of the individual and about that individual. "The Raven" is about his thoughts toward the death of Virginia and how she is going to be "Nevermore". Any help?

Romanticism was deeply rooted in mystery and everyone's personal opinion and interpretation. Edgar Allan Poe's poems are as well.

Edgar Allan Poe was a majorly depressed human being! he had a reallly rough life, it really makes us realize even though he hated life and he was so miserable, he is a great importance to generations forever!
