Lessons Learned from Y2Kgreenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread |
These are my 'take aways' from this experience we call Y2K. I would be interested in some of the things that you have learned.1) Our modern society is fragile. This 'revelation' came to me while learning about the interdependency of our world. I had no idea how close we are to chaos on * a good day *.
2) Most people WANT to remain unaware of the dangers we face. Their choice. There is little I can do to change that.
3) When watching the show, pay attention to the man behind the curtain. This came clear to me when I noticed the disconnect between what our government was saying and what they were actually doing. 4) Preparedness is lifestyle. I began preparing for an event. Now I live a preparedness lifestyle. Regardless of the Y2K outcome, I will continue to refine my preparations.
5) Our second amendment rights are very important. It is not about owning guns for hunting or shooting. It is about a check on tyranny.
