GI = Get It = Someone who prays that they are wrong, but is ready if they are right. DGI = Don't Get It = Someone who prays they are right, but is not ready if they are wrong. Doomer = Pessimist regarding the ultimate outcome of Y2K disruptions, and just plain doesn't know what will happen. Polly = Immensely wise and all knowing individual who already 'knows' that Y2K will be nothing to worry about.

Also BITR (Bump in the road), meaning Y2K will be nothing more than a speed bump essentially. SHTF, well that stuff that hits the fan when things go wrong.

Troll... someone who claims Y2K is no problem, but spends endless hours on Y2K forums trying to convince others it is not a problem. Paid disinformation agents.

Scroll to the bottom of the main TB2000 forum page and click on the link to "Y2K for Newcomers (New)". One of the threads listed there is "Deciphering the jargon: troll, OT, TEOTWAWKI, etc."

It contains a good introduction to the forum jargon.
