Olympus C-2020

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

I have been waiting for the price to drop on the Olympus C-2000 (which it hasn't lately), and now I see a model C-2020, at a higher price. Is there a difference here, or just a marketing tactic???

I don't believe Olympus would put out 2 identical cameras with different model numbers. The D600L and the D620L are essentially the same camera, but the 620 does come with very useful features that the 600 does not have. I would say take a close look at the specs to se what the differences are

From the research I've done the past week, the differences between C2000 and C2020 have made it easier to use, especially for button placement. The C2020 also has video, and can take B/W. I just ordered onefrom Price Computers, the price was $712, and only $4 shipping. I've never heard of them before, so, hopefully, they're legit! (I'll see in a few days, won't I?) Anyway, I don't know if this helps at all, since my post is several weeks after yours.
