NORFOLK -- Educational toy retailer Learningsmith Inc. plans to shutter its 87 stores, including the one in MacArthur Center.

Learningsmith is the second merchant at MacArthur Center to close because of companywide problems. Last month, Just For Feet Inc., a troubled athletic footwear retailer, closed its Athletic Attic store there shortly before filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. "

Once a week, in the Contra Costa Times, Walnut Creek, CA in the Business Section, is a list of all the businesses that have filed for bankruptcy that week. This list is mind boggling.
