Where is Goshen?

We live in central Maine and went through the great ice storm several years ago. Most of the areas around us lost their power for one or two weeks. We never lost power for more than a few minutes. Although we have had a generator for 20 years we didn't need it during that particular ice storm. We were in the "Land of Goshen" for that one, so to speak.

We have made many preps during the last year to be in a better position during the coming financial holocaust but have to keep reminding ourselves of Proverbs 21:31

The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the Lord

I believe archeologists now speculate that Goshen was in the northeast part of the Nile delta.

Sorry Flint, it picked up and moved to somewhere in Indiana. ;^)

Goshen is in California's central valley. THe Greyhound "milk run" used to go through it. Maybe it has since been buried under I-5.

Good evening, all. There was never much to the Goshen in the San Joaquin Valley of California. I can't say what the biblical was like.

a safe place for the israelites. thank you very much for reminding me. i will rest in my "land of goshen". remember, the lord warns his own of coming judgment. i've heard the extent of the warning is an indication of the extent of the judgment. although this is incredibly scary time, it is an amazingly interesting time as we watch prophecies be fulfilled (and i don't particularly look at y2k as being in prophecy but there are so many being fulfilled in our lifetime).

Allan,

If things get bad, maybe I'll grab the wife and kids and move in to Goshen with you. I can even earn my keep by shovelling out the horse stall. It wouldn't be the first time.

I thought everybody knew that Goshen is a tiny town in Central Utah.

There's a Goshen, NC about thirty minutes from Durham and about forty- five minutes away from Paul Milne's place. Depends on your outlook I guess. But there is no 7-11 within five miles for certain.
