Seattle and Y2K - the comparisons are obvious

Hey, if I was a policeman in that ultracool riot gear, I'd feel invinceable too. Did you notice how they 'communicated', just like storm troopers in StarWars. "Go back!" "Get on sidewalk, NOW!" Man, they were sooooo juiced, I'm suprised they didn't drop kick the flower children.

Let's make one thing perfectly clear - they would have shot us without a second thought, if not for those pesky cameras. "Now its OUR turn". I felt like I was watching Nazi occupied Europe. Holy **uck. It was almost cartoonish. Yeah that's the word. The whole thing was a really bad episode of Judge Dredd.

Or, perhaps, Doctor Who?

"Ex ter min ate.... ex ter min ate... ex ter min ate..."

How's my Dalek Humor?

(that was a bad pun, by the way)

I agree with you! I also am sick, what has happened with the people in the U.S.A. I'm tallking cops and others in the forces. I do think they have forgotten who pays their pay checks! If they keep this up we'll be back to the war for our rights from god!

IMO Seattleites and all surrounding areas will never view their police in the same way, as you recall these law enforcement officers were from every big and podunk town around!!! They are known personally by all the locals, you don't think they will look at them differently and not be as trusting?? It makes no difference how much lip service they may pay to them, in their heart they will now have some fear of the possibilities in their little Burg.
