I-695 at work in downtown Seattle

greenspun.com : LUSENET : I-695 Thirty Dollar License Tab Initiative : One Thread

Have you all been watching the news? Or maybe even been in downtown Seattle? Everything that is happening down there is a DIRECT result of I-695.

If 695 had not passed there would be no rioting, no terrorism. The WTO would not have come to town. The police would be at home all warm and snuggled in their beds.

The world would be at peace..

Aren't you ashamed?

HORSE HOCKEY!

Listen... if you really have a problem with I-695, then figure out what you would normally pay if I-695 didn't pass and send THAT to the state instead of $30. They will HAPPILY take your money. But I'd be willing to bet you'd NEVER do that, nor would anyone ELSE who's against I-695.

GET OVER IT. YOU LOST!

David, I am sorry to say you have obviously misunderstood our friend Maddjak's sarcastic humour. He has been in the trenches fighting FOR I-695 a long time.

David obviously doesn't know that I-695 caused global warming, and also that some people now think it was the root cause of the Great Depression of 1929!

Perhaps the violence and demonstrations will have a positive impact. Who would ever want to move to Washington State where such things can occur?

If anyone considered moving here due to the passage of I-695, please reconsider. We are all nut cases and may cause harm to others!

Just trying to do my part to slow growth and prevent congestion from getting worse.

Besides all that, I have lived hear nearly 61 years, (my birthday is this month) and it has rained nearly every day. I am still awaiting the sunny day that is talked about in the "bluest sky" song.

keep up the good work MAN they are robbing you and laughing at YOU!!!

ah , you mean like the bluest skies you ever seen in seattle? sorry that was a tv show from the sixties called here come the brides.... which by the way has nothing to do with 695..... so far........

-- john (mlvc72ss@aol.com), December 03, 1999.

john

Writes, "has nothing to do with 695..... so far........"

Then why isn't it on anymore? Also just how many of the women actually became brides?

I think if it wasn't for I-695, these people would still have a job in the forest industry (sorry, T.V. industry).

Think about it.

Ed - thinking too much

Marsha et al,

Pardon me while I go take the hook out of my mouth. That's for the explanation... :-)
