I don't have the info handy, but I believe there are ways to gel the gasoline so it isn't as explosive. I don't know if there is an easy way to convert it back to liquid form.

If you have the credit, use it. Go out and lease a Diesel Truck! Diesel fuel is much safer to store and their are far more alternatives. I would highly recommend the Dodge pickups over any other small Diesel vehicles now on the market. Because of where you need to go to survive, get the 4X4!

---get real gas tanks from the junkyard. Put them in your vehicle. some bolt on underneath, you can put them in the trunk, etc. a good stealth way is to just get any old cargo van that barely runs, all it has to do is get home. Put the gas tanks in there. knocking small holes to run the filler spout/vent action to the outside is e-z. then all you have is an old van in the driveway, no dangerous/illegal barrells. just install any of the junkyard tanks just like any other gas tank in a vehicle. No law I'm aware of that limits a vehicles fuel tanks. I have about 70 gallons in two tanks in my rv, for example, straight from the factory, and a lot of pickups come with dual tanks stock. Tanks are easy to get from old trucks, just rinse them out with a little fresh gas right there at the junkyard, pour the rinse gas into some other tank that you aren't buying there. fill the tanks on the way home. Make sure you don't have any leakers by detailed visual inspection of the tanks before you fill them. If the tank has been leaking, you'll see the obvious place and the metal discoloration, etc. don't buy that tank, keep looking. that's the best, safest, cheapest way. You can also get brand new commercial tanks that are designed to fit in the beds of pickups, don't see why you couldn't put one in another vehicle, just use your imagination on placement. Most places limit stored gas in 5 gallon containers to I think about 25 gallons max, check local on that, and be careful. good luck!

Guys, Thanks for the contributions.....Just called a local heating oil company and ordered a 300 gallon gasoline tank storage system with a hand pump for about 400 bucks. They will put it in my barn and fill it up. I will treat the gas with storage additive as well....thanks guys. Jim

In empty liquor bottles, with a rag tied to the top.

This serves a dual use...when the troops arrive, "coctails" may be served.

One disadvantage to having some company come out and put in that tank is that it is on the record. If it comes down to confiscating food, fuel, etc, you'll be on a list of priority targets. If you do it discreetly, you may be missed.
