Pastors Planning Worshop

Need suggestions: While putting together a Pastors planning Workshop I immediately thought of my brothers out in Preacher land. Have any of you ever put together a format for a Pastors planning Workshop or retreat. Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated. Some of the key thoughts I have incorported are The Five pillars in Pastors planning. The purpose in Planning, The four steps of positive planning and Laying out the plan of Action. Part of this will be tied to the Preaching theme for the year. Many thanks

Jack,

If this is for "Pastors".....I presume you mean a workshop for the elders of the church??

Yes. For the Elders (Pastors) of the Church. Thanks

I doubt that you will want to hear this, for it is not really in your scope of question. Before the elders will ever begin to plan biblically, before they will ever do what God wants them to do, they must plan to be servants. I see too many want to be bosses and then it becomes a power struggle and it just won't work. If they plan to become servants, then the rest will come more easily. Just a pre-planning thought or goal for them to think about. Matthew 20:25-28

I couldnt agree with you more and appreciate your thoughtful response. Prior to the Worshop, there are a number of basic preparations. This will help alot. I hope I get some more good insights from the wisdom I know is out there. Leadership oftentimes does not plan or realize the importance of it. Someone once said that "Not to plan, is to plan to fail. This is a project I have been desirous of doing for many years. While I have done various aspects of it I have not really "put it all together" till now. Far to often Leadership is concerned about a "pie in the sky" revelation, usually at the last moment. Gods book is filled with plans. But they are all basically Spiritual in nature. Sometimes also, Leadership does not make plans based upon fulfilling the mission to the Church. Thanks again, keep it comming Brothers/Sisters. Love ya.

ONe other thought. Galatians 2:20 20 "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. Another key to live by. Helps me be the servant that God wants me to be, or at least keeps me trying.
