Read your post this morning...then headed to local gun show(may be prepping for the wrong thing!) Heard of these things over the past year or so but was skeptical until about a month ago when I sighted several which extended from north of Dallas southbound. Others reported seeing them that day as far south as Waco (90 miles).

When I left the gun show, the sky was full of Con/Chem-trails. I counted at least 12! Something is going on here. If these things are as benign as some would have us believe, then why doesn't someone speak-up.

These aircraft are owned by someone and flown by human pilots I would assume. Where THE HELL ARE OUR LEADERS!!!OUR REPS AND CONGRESSMEN??? Are we lab mice...

Heaviest contrail/chemtrail(?) activity over most of Denver all day. First activity we sighted was around 9 a.m. with a beautiful blue sky backdrop. X's sighted, cross-hatching seen over south Denver. We lost track after counting 30 "trails" by noon. Activity continuous till sunset. We watched as "trails" expanded laterally and formed collective clouds. Weird stuff.

Question: If we were getting this much activity today, and other states are reporting similar activity, how many planes are being used? Something's wrong here.

NOPE...NOPE...A THOUSAND TIMES NOPE!! I'm a private pilot and have hung around airports and aircraft for years, These craft were not in landing or takeoff altitudes or approach/takeoff patterns.These were NOT Commercial Aircraft!...Anyone else in Dallas or surrounding areas observe? Anyone ever hear of Agent Orange....Did the Gov't really give a cat's ass that we were not only exposing our troops to hazardous chemicals but also affecting future generations! I think we should demand an explanation (from someone?) as to what is going on. These craft had to be all over the Radar screens. Maybe we can get some input from an ATC (Air Traffic Controller) at DFW or at least acknowledge that these aircraft were there!

Despite Congress' effort, a dozen or so national emergencies have been declared and renewed annually, and are right now in effect. These are premised upon problems with Iran (every year since 1979), Libya (since 1986), Iraq (since 1990), Yugoslavia (since 1992), proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (since 1993), UNITA (Angolan anti-communists, since 1993), Middle East terrorism (since 1995), Colombian drug dealers (since 1995), Cuba (since 1996), Burma (since 1997), and Sudan (since 1997). Even the expiration of a statute, the Export Administration Act of 1979, caused President Clinton to declare and renew a state of national emergency (since 1994).

A 13th, inspired by conditions in Haiti, was in force from 1992 until revoked in 1994.

Olson pointed out that although Clinton is responsible for eight of the dozen "national emergencies" in effect today, he didn't invent the tactic of expanding executive branch powers through such declarations.

There's the Merchant Marine Act of 1936, which authorizes the requisition or purchase of any vessel or watercraft during a national emergency -- any emergency. Olson quoted the statute:

"Whenever the president shall proclaim that the security of the national defense makes it advisable or during any national emergency declared by proclamation of the president, it shall be lawful for the Secretary of Transportation to requisition or purchase any vessel or other water craft owned by citizens of the United States.

"The way I read that, it seems to me all he (the president) needs is a national emergency -- any national emergency," Olson said.

Alan Woll agreed.

"The statute giving the president certain powers in a national emergency does not limit his powers to that particular emergency," Woll said. "You do need a state of declared national emergency, but I think that's a fair reading of those statutes granting extraordinary powers."

Woll pointed to Title 50, War and National Defense, as the obvious place to start looking for information about emergency powers and national emergencies.

"That has the statutes for calling out the National Guard," he said. "That's where you find the statutes that deal specifically with national emergencies. It's also where you find the statute for IEEPA - - that's the successor to the Trading With the Enemy Act -- it's the primary statute used to justify declaring national emergencies."

But there are other statutes, too. Some examples:

Title 10, U.S. Code, Section 2808: In the event of a declaration of war or the declaration by the President of a national emergency ... that requires use of the armed forces, the Secretary of Defense, without regard to any other provision of law may undertake military construction projects, and may authorize the Secretaries of the military departments to undertake military construction projects, not otherwise authorized by law that are necessary to support such use of the armed forces.

Title 10, U.S. Code, Section 644: The President may suspend the operation of [laws] relating to the promotion, involuntary retirement, or separation of officers [from the military]. "That means Clinton can keep people from leaving the military," Olson observed. "So we have involuntary servitude.

"And -- hey -- under Section 603 Clinton can name anyone an officer."

Title 10, U.S. Code, Section 603: In Time of war or national emergency, the President may appoint any qualified person whether or not already a member of the armed forces to any officer grade in the Army, Navy, Air Force or Marines. Olson said that doesn't mean Clinton can appoint one of his friends to the rank of five-star general. There is a limit. The top rank allowed for appointees is rear admiral or major general.

Title 33, U.S. Code, Section 855: Navigable Waters -- The President is authorized, whenever in his judgment a sufficient national emergency exists, to transfer to the service and jurisdiction of a military department such vessels, equipment, stations, and commissioned officers of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration as he may deem to the best interest of the country. "That doesn't even require a declaration," Olson remarked.

Under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, the president can order bank holidays.

Title 12, U.S. Code, Section 95: ... during such emergency as the President of the United States by proclamation may prescribe, no member bank of the Federal Reserve System shall transact any banking business except to such extent and subject to such regulations, limitations and restrictions as may be prescribed by the Secretary of the Treasury, with the approval of the President. "The penalty for violation is a fine of up to $10,000 and/or 10 years in prison," said Olson. "That's for any bank, officer or employee."

Woll and Olson said they hadn't found any statute authorizing the formation of civilian work crews or the drafting of civilians -- nor any authorizing seizures of weapons from private homes.

"But we're looking and those could very well be there," they said.

"You know, the more you study this, the more frightening it becomes," said Olson. "I really think we have to use our free speech while we still have it."

...these chemtrails have been appearing almost daily now in n.e. ohio for about 3 weeks. one thing I noticed this week is when the sun is low in the west sky shortly before sunset, there is a rainbow in the ones that have spread out into the cirrus clouds. CIRRUS CLOUDS do not produce rainbows. i would really like to know what the hell is going on! Has anyone else seen this rainbow in them anywhere?

Saw a sattellite pic of the eastern shore grid, verses normal flight pattern, but couldn't find site for you=( Read an exec order giving permission to the military to test bioweapons on US, and author found this ironic given it is illegal for our military to use these same weapons against the Russians.

We've had anomalous contrail patterns since last spring. I'm on the flight path for an international airport's descent route over the mountains, and these have not been flying to or from that airport. I've heard of a lot of respiratory problems going around, but this year instead hacking away I've actually been OK. Perhaps this is one of the hidden benefits of spending too much time in the house reading Y2k stuff instead of out in the "fresh" air.

Rob, your statement "people aren't getting sicker" is untrue. I first noticed "these" kind of contrails here about two months ago, and from that point foward everyone I know has had an upper respiritory infection. Not just a cold, this awful illness. My whole family and most of my friends and relatives have all been on antibotics for weeks. My co-workers, my husband's co-workers, my son's school mates, it seems like everyone has the same illness. The doctor stated to me "Everyone has got this same thing", and my husband's doctor said the same to him. People on this board can tell you the same, and my mother in ARizona and father in Long Island have said the same thing about everyone in their community. I promise you, when you see them, you'll know them...and you'll get sick just like the rest of us, and you'll remember then..and you'll be mad about it too.

They surgically insert a piece of plastic in your stomach so that you can see where you're going when you have your head up your ass. Before you tell someone they're crazy would suggest you do a little homework...but I'm sure you've probably been told that before.

A couple of years ago, while I was still coal mining, I observed six or seven high altitude jets spraying something over Texas following a flight path running roughly along I-20 From Shreveport towards Dallas. They didn't crosshatch but made East West and West east runs which eventually resulted in a total cloud cover on what had been a clear day. I figured they were cloud seeding and sure enough withing a day or two NASA released a news article explaining that they were experimenting with weather control over Tx. using high altitude tanker spraying. I didn't give it much more thought as they have been seeding clouds in Tx. for about fifty years. What was different about this though is that they weren't seeding clouds, they were creating them in an effort to generate storm fronts. Related? I don't know. But within a few weeks of this occurence our entire crew of approximately 50 heavy equipment operators, myself included all had sever respiratory infections which the dr.'s couldn't identify and lasted in my case for over two months, very nearly leading tohospitalization, and I know of two people who died during this outbreak as the infections progressed to pne monia. I haven't gotten into the contrail argument because it just seems to me that any operation this large could not be covered up for any extended period of time, and the one incident I am familiar with doesn't match the spraying patterns described by others. I am sitting here at home sick now, and have been off work for nearly three weeks with a vicious upper respiratory infection, working on my third course of antibiotics. This is my fourth bout with this respiratory infection in the last two years, and the initial episode was the one described above. I am nearly 43 years old and have never in my life had any sinus problems or infections prior to this. There is another angle which I believe all of you are overlooking. About three years ago a female Dr. working for the veterans administration publicly announced that gulf war syndrome was contagious, therefore of a biological nature. Since the gulf war there has been an explosion of people reporting chronic pain, fatigue, shortness of breath, and a hodgepodge of symptons which all mimic the synptoms of GWS. It is entirely possible that the government is full well aware that Saddam Hussein used Biological weapons against our troops, institutiing a chronic malaise into our population which they cannot admit to. Perhaps they have some respiratory virus which generates a boost in the immune system which is effective against GWS, or anthrax, or smallpox, or some other malady they fear will be introduced into our country. Or maybe they are spraying us with a bi=component germ or chemical which will not receal it's true nature until the second half of the brew is delivered. I don't know, but I have reached the conclusion that something definitely is going on, too many credible people are making reports for it to be otherwise.
