I'm new to the world of digital cameras and I would like to purchase one that is not expensive to put items on ebay and maybe print a few pictures no larger than 8x10. I have looked in the consumer reports but most of those are in the $700 and up range. Is there a good digital camera for $500 and under? If there is where can I get one. Help!!!

It's hard to get answers sometimes- I know. I'm in the same as you. After researching for about 2 months now, I'm leaning toward the Nikon Coolpix 700- about $500. Great reviews from all sites I've visited. I've heard it "might" be discontinued, but no one knows why (if). Because it's supposed to be a great camera. I'll probably buy one (and NiHM rechargeable batteries/charger). Hope this helps- at least a little.
