A Foggy Sunrise

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Nature Photography Image Critique : One Thread

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone. I am thankful for many things including beautiful mornings like this. This foggy sunrise was taken from the last winter from my backyard. The position of the sun in the winter is the only time I can photograph a sunrise without phone wires and such in the way. Donna

It's beautiful! I truly like the composition, colors, tonal range and the resulting mood. Nicely done, Donna!

Beautiful! My wife would like to know what part of the country you live in. Pat

Beautiful picture Donna! I love the layering thats going on in the trees. We get that effect where I live with mountains, but I really like it with the trees. Very different.

I live in a rural community in West Central Florida (hence the trees, but no mountains). I live on 2 acres with several acres of undeveloped land surrounding me. This picture was taken from the southeast corner of our property looking east over a narrow canal.

Very nice image. I suspect the compressed image we see here does not do justice to the original. Excellent job.

It's amazing that you didn't get any flare. Beautiful colors and composition.
