Well, you know that good supply of Pokemon and Furbys is far more important than fuel, food and water!

The big story on every cable news channel I saw today, the biggest shopping day of the year, was "E-commerce". The commentators were so giddy that they couldn't contain themselves.

I clicked through a some of the 11:00 newscasts (W. Michigan), and reports about Christmas shopping were prevelant...a couple of them even had it for the lead story. One channel was even focusing on certain stores and the best places to "get your Christmas goodies."

Ever get the feeling that they're shoving the message "BUY, BUY, BUY" down our throats, or is it just me?

Funny, every year around this time I hear more and about Christmas and toys and buying stuff, but I can't explain it.

Yeah, Christmas is Christmas. I still think Y2K is getting plenty of press time; there is a lot of good coverage for those willing to ingest. Better late than never.
