Help. I have lost my input cable that loads my photos from the Canon A5 camera to my IBM clone computer serial port. Where is a source for these beyond Canon? What is a reasonable price for a replacement cable? Later in life, where can we find replacement parts as we need them without having to toss it in the closet with that old 286?

Here is a suggestion. Forget about that serial cable. Instead, get a parallel-port card reader or (if you have USB) a USB Card Reader. Either one will transfer your images MUCH faster than that serial cable. The card readers go for about $40 online.
