HEY THERE WEBMASTER/PASTOR.....STILL WAITING FOR MY PUNISHMENT......

greenspun.com : LUSENET : I-695 Thirty Dollar License Tab Initiative : One Thread

Dear Mr. B,

I was kinda hoping my ISP was gonna give me the "taboo/bad boy" lesson by the way you were ranting and raving earlier this month, but I must of lucked out or your full of hot air, I think the latter is more suitable personally.

Goin off on me, what nerve....

You say I spammed people, what do you do???, spam em right back....kinda sounds like "do as I say, not as I do".....

I then apologize, nicely, several times, and you do not respond whatsoever, at least my pastor doesn't treat me that way.

Then I about puke when you have the gonads to get on the John Carlson show on Nov.3 (570 KVI AM) and state that the forum is "basically a no holds forum format" and "you can basically discuss whatever you want," what a crock of crap.

I'm putting together the submitted posts that were saved prior to your "no holds barred" deletion, not to mention your "spam" email, and a few other things, and I'll be forwarding that package off to the staff of 570 KVI, maybe KOMO and KIRO too.

This way when they are talking to you over the air in the future they know exactly who they are dealing with, someone who says one thing, and then does a 180.

Remember, ye shall seek the truth and the truth will set you free.

Don't forget about Hosea 4:6

Thanks again, and have a nice day.

K :)

P.S. My pastor says he does not know of you, but the text of your "mad" email is most interesting to church members that I have spoken with, especially coming from a pastor.

Don't forget the reason that started this whole thing is found below......

Answers

I was tempted to delete this, but for educational purposes I'll leave it up for a while.

First off, if I'm being chastised for not behaving like a christian then I suggest you re-read your post and consider if anyone reading it would find your response to be Christian in nature.

Your original posting, as I stated more than once, was and remains, off-topic. You may not agree, but you don't run this forum. A reasonable person would take the hint and move on to other topics. You didn't.

When you couldn't make your point here you sent an unsolicited email to the forum participants hoping they would get on board. That's rude. I called you on it and I meant it. As far as I know, you stopped. Thank you.

Your comment about the Carlson show misses the point: at that time, the forum was no-holds-barred when the topic was I-695 related. In that past 2 weeks I have not had time to monitor the forum so I'm not sure what's been discussed. I, too, have a life outside of I-695.

As to your apologies...I receive between 300-400 emails a day. I don't respond to them all. I apologize for not responding to your apology.

As far as the radio stations are concerned you're wasting your time.

As far as sharing our communications with your pastor and the congregation...I feel sorry for them. I'm sure they have more edifying things to do.

And, as far as quoting the Bible to me...thank you. I never tire of the widsom that is found in it's pages.

One last thing...please submit any further messages to me personally. There's no sense in wasting anyone else's time reading this. And, believe it or not, that's what the Bible would say to do in the first place.

:)

webmaster--I find it remarkable you responded to this rather snotty post, but deleted the polite posts I made questioning why you feel the need to censor posts containing swear words.

FWIW, don't bother trying to explain that it's your bandwidth or table space (unless of course you teach rdbms theory at MIT).

Wondering if this will be here in the morning.

Webmaster:

For a user of your service that you provide to us to get so personal to mention religion and an alleged pastor shocks me beyond belief.

I (also) would not be surprised if this forum died tonight (Thanksgiving) night.

- sigh -

Once again, for all to read, I delete posts with swearing and vulgarity (at least the ones I find...I probably miss some) because it's rude, crude, and unnecessary. It's offensive to many people and there's no need for it. People can express their points of view without having to resort to vulgarity.

Webmaster:

Add my name to the list of your SUPPORTERS. I personally find it offensive to have someone swear or curse. It took me several years to break this bad habbit. I encourage everone who has the problem to stop it. Those that defend swearing only try to bring others down to their level of poor behavior.

Sincerely RD (Monte) Benham

Webmaster,

Thank you for responding to my post, I took the time to read, and re- read what you wrote. Thank you for pointing out my veering christian nature in the post, as it made me think again of my feelings when I was writing it.

As I will admit, I was a little "hot" when it was typed, my apologies for any disrespect towards you in that message.

What was making me a little upset was that in the beginning when I posted just the mere link to the "driver brief" you deleted it, no explanation, nothing.

As I have read the "brief" numerous times, I still fail to see where there is any "vulgarity" that you speak of that would warrant censorship.

I then re-posted the link thinking some type of unintended deletion took place, how was I to know, no one bothered to inform me that such information was "off-topic".

It was then subsequently deleted again. Now I wonder why????? What is so "off-topic" about Supreme Court decisions, law citations, legal definitions and so forth in direct relation to this very topic of "motor vehicles" and "licensing" etc.

Your website clearly asks how you'd like to only pay $30 for license tabs??? Well, after reading the "brief", (which if you actually take the time to research the information documented, you will find that it is most accurate), and then re-reading the question, I'd say....does this licensing thing really even apply to me?????

It clearly states in federal law that this whole issue of licensing has to do with commercial activity.

The question to ask is, does the average person "charge" someone when they are traveling down the road? Who are you exactly "charging" this fare, fee, or rate to? Your children? Your spouse? Your grandparents?

This topic is very in depth, but it is directly related to the licensing issue.

As a result of the second deletion (without any mention for why), I merely scrolled down to the bottom of the main page where you find the statistics page. There you have some of the more "frequent" posters email, and the amount of post contributed. I merely took the time to send only these people the text of what it was you were deleting, as well as a copy to you. I will admit I was "hot" in writing that as well, and I apologize for any inconvenience I caused, but don't the people (of Washington) have a right to know this information?????

As my experience with this alternative information in different areas really shocks the foundation of what we were taught to believe, are we not supposed to seek the truth?

If we are to seek this truth, and it will set us free, should we just be aware that it exists but not implement it in our lives?

There are just many questions that I have, and when there is this "no holds barred" forum, I think great, what a way to get the information out, and it clearly states (if you read it) that it is for educational purposes only, and people may read it and decide for themselves what they wish to do. The way I interpreted what you were doing was stopping the messenger. As this has been previous experience, I get a little frustrated some times, and seeking help I turned to God. Granted my walk with the Lord is FAR from where it should be, but I'm trying to work on that.

If people, who want to know the truth, are in a forum to seek it, should in not be provided? Is not the church an example of this?

I do not know what more to say, however, more will probably come after this is sent.

You had the opportunity to stoop to my level in my post but chose not to, let me say, in my own way, I did get something out of it, and I do not mean that sarcastically.

Again, my sincerest apologies to any and all whom I may have offended.

Respectfully,

K :)

Totally "ON" Topic.

I find this refreshing from all the political BS.

Nondyoak:

Let me tell you of an incident that helped me realize how important it was for me to break the swearing and cursing habbit. My father taught me all of the swearwords and "oaths" and I thought It make me fit in. Well one day I was helping roof a friends house None of the folks working on the house sware. One fellow missed the nail with his hammer and took a chunk out of his thumb. His only comment was "I hurt my thumb." From that day forth I knew I wanted to break the habbit. If I could do it you can too and you will find a better way to live your life that will give you and those around you more happiness.

Try it! You will like it!

RD--

Thank you for your recent post, however, the issue at hand does NOT deal with swearing.

If you take the time to read my most recent post, the issue was deletion of a "link" to information that the webmaster chose to remove (twice) without reason.

The webmaster has stated numerous times that swearing and the like would warrant such censorship which I have no problem with.

I merely was corresponding with the webmaster to try and understand why the information was originally deleted, for it failed to fall into the "vulgarity/profanity" venue.

The webmaster, in choosing to delete this information, resulted in what was deemed "spam" from me, to ONLY the most frequent posters of this forum as well as the webmaster.

This "spam" was merely the text of the document deleted, unfortunately my method of delivery was not very respectful to the webmaster to say the least.

Apparently the webmaster has allowed the original document "link" (look for "click here") to exist on this forum if you scroll up a few posts.

If possible, please take the time to read both "briefs", HTML and TEXT versions. I have yet to find swearing/profanity and such in these documents, however, if you do find any please notify me.

Also, can you see if you find the documents to be in any way "non- related" to the I-695 issue?

Thanks again for your post.

K :)

All hail Monte, the Fuhrer of Clean Speech

Sieg Heil!!!!!!

P.S. Monte-- please comment on the phenomena of linguitic flux. That is, how can a "moral standard" be placed on a constantly changing language base.
