World Survival Rate?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

What do you think the survival rate would be if Y2k, Bible, And other Prophecies were to take place within the next 24 months. Each one on a worst case scenario?. Think long, and hard!. Are you prepared for anything, or just Y2K?. Waiting to hear from anyone, HH.

The rate of children born in 3rd world countries will by far exceed

the dead rate in the rich countries. This will start a shift toward

world wide rise in poverty as the rich countries will have less money

to give away and finance 3rd world countries popolation (we are

actively paying them to pop out children).

Gradualy over time this will lead to mass famine and self destruction

of the human race. This will happen in a 30 to 50 year timeframe.

The mathematical probability of any particular person actually dying is 100%.

I suppose you are now going to tell me how to interpret the prophetic passages of the Bible.

I think the three post were made by the sane person?. So I'll just answer the last one, by "CATS BUTT". Well I just asked a simple question MR Cats Butt, and no I am not going to quote you the Bible. I just wanted to know how everyone feels about the number of problems that the world faces today. And if anyone is preparing for all of them, or just one. Sorry if I upset you, HH.

i suppose you mean "what will be the % of today's population level that will be left when all is said and done"? if so i'd guess about 1-25% but it'll take a while, we'll have spasms of famine, war, and pestilence, leading into large bouts of death. I suspect a more compact time frame, 10 years max, more like 5. Have a nice day!!

Happy Hoarder,

This is a bit off topic...but I love your name.

If this is what I ,and others, have been looking for then...confusion, trouble, and finally PEACE ON EARTH. If it is not the event then more POLITICAL CRAP, which translates as more of the same.

However I suspect this may be the event, and no I don't look forward to it I look beyond it.

I know I'll get in trouble for this, but...

1. If you decide to read the Bible, remember who's book it is. Ask your loving God to teach you what He wants you to know, not what anybody else thinks they know.

2. If you want OPINIONS (and I'm open to constructive criticism on this one) I think that, since Jesus Christ spoke many parables and taught His disciples many things, he wanted to be clear. When straight-forward words couldn't do, he painted a picture (a parable) and then proceeded to explain it. SO, if it needs explanation, it is symbolic. If no explanation is given, it is literal.

That MAY help you in reading the Bible. I won't venture an opinion because I don't know enough to even guess the World Survival Rate. If it's anything beyond a BITR, remember your neighbour in prayer.

A lot! Maybe 1/4 of the initial population, then 1/3 of the survivors, and again, another 1/3 of the survivors, plus maybe others due to the inevitable disruption of services/motivation/law-and-order you would likely get if that many people died...maybe resulting in a final population less than a third of the original. Death of 100%-1/4 leaves 75%, 75%-1/3 leaves about 50%. 50%-1/3 leaves about 33%. But then, that's just what it looks like to me, and I wouldn't say Bible prophecy is that clear to me. I just know that death-loss hasn't happened yet.

(BTW, don't we pay third world countries to abort their children, as opposed to paying them to have lots of children? I think it is more an anti-welfare argument to say that we pay people to have lots of children.)

Rev 6:8 8 I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

Rev 8:7 A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.

Rev 8:9 9 a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.

Rev 8:11 11 the name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.

Rev 9:15 15 And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind.

Rev 9:18 18 A third of mankind was killed by the three plagues of fire, smoke and sulfur that came out of their mouths.

Rev 11:13 13 At that very hour there was a severe earthquake and a tenth of the city collapsed. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the survivors were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.
