Detroit Edison Not Y2K ready

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Just talked to my neighbor who is professor (Computer Engineering) at a local university. One of his students who works for Detroit Edison said that an internal memo he received stated that DTE thought they would be Y2K compliant but would not be.

The student told him that he has to work at the rollover.

Also order the MUST see video POLICE STATE 2000 from Alex Jones @ www.infowars.com or list live M-F 12-3pm eastern to Alex on www.gcnlive.com .

I have been more than a little concerned about Detroit Edison from the beginning. This utility has a horrendous record for efficiency and service...amongst the worst in the country. I'm rethinking my plans for "toughing it out" in my locale, 3 miles from the Detroit border. I can't imagine the chaos here if the power fails for any length of time!...
