Running on the main with a Reverse loop

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Wiring for DCC : One Thread

Just throwing the quistion out to the DCC world. I have a 12' by 17' layout and I presently have my DCS100 controling the mainline. My reverse loop is controled by my DB150.

Does it matter which unit (DCS100 or DB150) controls the main or reverse loop?

Sould not make any difference at all. Both the DCS100 and DB150 have pretty much the same sensitivity for auto-reversing. Now if you want to look at the older DB100's, then either the DCS100 or DB150 should be used to auto-reverse, as the DB100 was ok, just the newer boosters are more sensitive and work faster.
