It is a major undertaking and I want all the information I can get. If any of you hve been there or know someone who has, please let me know.

Have you tried to contact Allen Steck ? He is very friendly. You can probably get his phone number through the phone directory in Berkeley, CA.

A friend of Mine named Dave Briggs tried the route recently (last 4 years or so). He compiled alot of info. I don't have his number anymore, but there may be two ways of tracking him down. He is sponsored by the North Face, so someone there may know how to get ahold of him. And he runs a business called "Apex Ascents" out of Portland, OR. Worth a shot, as I recall he did exhaustive research. Good Luck!-M

Alan Plinz co-led an expedition in 1996 I think. They didn't get very far, but he is really an expert on the area, route etc. If I spoke with one person about this route, he would be the one. His email address is aplinz@teleport.com.
