In response to your query in Stanly Co., NC, which Austin family are you seeking prior to 1823 in NC? I have an Austin line from Lunenburg Co., VA (John Austin, Sr. b. c. 1690 to 1700) whose ch were John, Jr., Stephen, Valentine, Richard/son, Joseph. Several of these served in Rev. War and I beleive that one line of these sons moved to Stanly Co., NC later..I am working on Austin, Pinson, Love, Hankins, Covington, Kirby, Garrett, DeMonbreun, Haines, Cox, Pruit/Prewitt, Courtney, Andrus, Doggett, Henryes, and others that connect to these of VA early. Thank you...Jean Shroyer, Austin, TX

Find a copy of the following article. I sent a transcribed typed copy of it via email to the public library in Albemarle. The auther is Davidson Nance.
