Houston Air Quality Will Improve

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

The good news is that Houston's nasty air quality--ozone, particulates, etc.--will begin to improve the first week of January. By the third week, Houston will have the some of the cleanest air in the country!

Also, the drive to work will be a congestion-free experience. And when I ride my bike, the ever-present danger from motorists will be greatly reduced and I'll have a monstrous shit-eating grin on my face.

Americans are gonna get what they so richly deserve. Ciao

would this qualify as a "don't feed the troll thread"?

Troll though he may be, he is right about Houston. He should have phrased it AFTER the first week.

For the first few nights, expect "Midnight Sun" conditions as the emergency flares vent as the Embeddeds fail one after the other. The Reactors go Auto-Catalytic and the resulting H-C and Particulate atmospheric conditions are VERY unhealthy. After the first week, air Quality will improve as the Petroleum/Petrochemical infrastructure will have utterly failed!

Question for Mr. Bob...will you still have a job?? For how long??

Mr. Boob, exactly what is it about eating s**t that makes you grin?

The bad news: I will not be in Houston to experience the actual air improvement.

Most likely, I'll be about 3/4 of a tank into the hill country embarking on my new career as a carpenter....
