Anyone else have trouble with Lying America? Wont return calls for weeks, lie about in stock items, bill credit card with nothing processed, computers down constantly, order status phone line inoperable, online order status inaccurate and untruthful, continue to report that 32meg oly smartmedia card in stock when on back order for at least two weeks, no help with item backorder status, etc. This company sucks, has anyone else had similar problems?

A bunch of us over on the ultraportable forum (http://siliconedge.dhs.org/upboard/page1.shtml) have ordered from them without problems. See what people said on www.resellerratings.com

I ordered a camera from them, and when I found it could take them up to 4 weeks, yes 4 weeks, to deliver it, I bailed and cancelled my order. I ended up buying from onvia.com and got my camera (oly 450z) in 3 days, although it did cost me an extra fifty bucks compared to VA's deal minus their valuedollars. Of course, my credit card was already billed immediatly by VA, and after 3 separate phone calls in which I was told 3 totally conflicting things about their ability to cancell orders, I finally got someone who said that she would cancel the it. Could I get something in writing confirming this, perhaps an email? Of course not, they "don't have that capability - but you can call back in a few days to make sure your card was credited". Sure, and wait on the phone for another f-ing hour. I still don't know the status of my credit card, although their website still says payment processed and nothing about a cancellation - but then again, on another order which I received 2 weeks ago their website still says "payment pending". The moral of this story, VA sucks - especially considering that there are many reputable dealers, like onvia, out there with good prices and great service
