hello i have just bought star wars episode 1 and fight club from vcd-import.com

i have never bought pirate before they say that they are telecine what does this mean and will they stand up to the quality of the vcd i have bought from videocds.com

and does anybody know about vcd-import.com do they actully send the vcds or have i been ripped off?

Telecine is the way film 24fps is transferred to video legitimately and correctly. You get top quality and all this way. But telecine or not doesn't make a pirate video, VCD or otherwise, any less pirate; for starters StarWars1 and Fight Club are not legitly out on video yet. You've got pirate VCDs there. I'm curious as to why you still want VCDs. Why not get on to DVDs? This forum is mainly (but of course not only) for people who actually MAKE their own VCDs by transferring original source VHS/8mm/DV footage to VCDs with the best possible quality at the lowest cost in the shortest time that can be afforded by amateurs. Little of it has to do with Hollywood. With original, unpirated movie VCDs getting scarcer everyday everywhere in the world it's not really surprising VCD dealers on- and offline resort, unintentionally and otherwise, to offering pirates.

I purchased about 6 VCD's from VCD Import about a month ago and STILL WAITING.....I call them and e-mail them all the time. All I get is, "there coming from another country and once I recieve them I'll send them out". I am losing my patience and will cancel it soon and hope I don't lose my money, because I charged it. If you want to check on your order, contact James Hopkins at 1-888-206-5376. He contracts from VCD Import, he's the one that recieves the merchadise and then sends it out. Good luck
