can someone please tell me what a GI is (as used on this forum?)

GI stands for "gets it" in the context of Y2K. DGI is "doesn't get it" and DWGI is "doesn't want to get it."

I know the GI part - what does OT mean?

OT = off topic. In another context "Old Testament" But on the boards almost always "off topic". That means we can talk about almost any unrelated item without feeling guilty.
