Do you like the drawing tiled in the background, or not?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Novenotes : One Thread

A few months ago, I started using a lighter version of my drawing-of-the-night as a background. I was undecided about it then. Someone sent me a comment that they didn't like it, someone whose taste I trust. What do you think? Should I just leave the drawing tiled, or put a solid corner around the entry?--Al

Oh, you can, Bek! You just type in the actual HTML command to link. Observe.

I don't know if you can view the source through this, but I just typed in "". (Hope you can see that.)--Al

PS. I encourage ALL the posters, if they want to, to do so. If I read an interesting reply, I want to go to your page, and what's the use of the Web if you can't hyperlink?

Truth to tell, I never liked those quartered and drawn pieces of picture around your entry. In the beginning I found it distracting, occasionally a bit grotesque. But over time I have trained myself to ignore them.

Like them? Not much. I love having the actual drawing there but the fact that it's all cut up around the edges I find oddly disturbing.

I liked it well enough. It was visually interesting, but I know that doubles your picture K every entry, and, my, how that adds up fast after time.

Joan, (who has 12.9 MB worth of stuff out in webland, after just three years) Remember, all of it is only going to grow and grow and grow....
